Punkass, this ain’t that Staind song…
————————————————-
What a year this had been.

Early this year, just like every
year, you strive to change yourself and you start out okay and then it
just goes back to the way it was.

Just like every year.

I hope I won’t do that this time around.

I had decided to sell my Fender John5.  Yes it was my first high end
guitar. It’s my first dream guitar. Sadly, it’s not what I hoped it
would do.  It wasn’t inspiring to play.  Heck, the crappy deal that I
got the red Washburn TB-200 that I bought off of eBay plays better than
that nowadays!  And I thought I was gonna smash it on a later gig!

I felt bad deciding on that. But like my friend Nick (Colony of
Echoes’s singer) told me ‘if it ain’t inspiring you, it ain’t worth
keeping’.

I could get a better tube head amp.  I am really
fixating on a Peavey 6505+.  And I found a 5150 straight cabinet.  But
I’m willing to give the Valveking another chance by playing my main
guitars.  The guitars at Guitar Center were too thin sounding cuz they
had 9’s on em.  Other than that, there’s this deal that I’m trying to
score via craig’s list that I will share details later once I’ve
checked em out.  I have a taste of the obscure, or shall I say,
something most people won’t go for.  I’m excited.

I’m also
gonna be selling my Johnson modeling setup.  I decided to just buy the
Digitech Expression Factory and utilize my DOD EQ’s for both guitar and
bass.

And Type O Negative is my new favorite band.  Other than that, here’s my favorite cd’s that came out this year:

(in no particular order).
  Army of Anyone
  Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere
  Audioslave - Revelations

I’ve just been listening to old stuff, and I want to get like cool 90’s
bands cds like Warrior Soul and Life, Sex and Death.  And more live
DVD’s. My friend Saj was recommending me Rye Coalition’s new cd also.
I wanted to check out Lamb of God’s The Sacrament.  I heard it’s an
awesome album.

In the meantime, my current favorite song is
Type O Negative’s Unsucessfully Coping With The Natural Beauty of
Infidelity.  It’s such an awesome song with a killer hook of a chorus!
The intro reminded me of Hera’s Pull Me Down.  I don’t think Sean
ripped em off, he loves TON that it must’ve rubbed off on him, and that
he inadvertedly channeled that vibe without even hearing that song!
